Much of my work is about movement, and the tension and attraction of difference.

It's about the freedom that can come from embracing what is born in-between, what we do not know, and sometimes what we fear.

Drawn to Light (2011)
ink, pigment and tea, 27 x 36 in

Inspired by the millions of flies attracted to the lights around the temples at night in Bohdgaya, India. I would walk around before dawn, awestruck at the drama of life and death that cycled each day. Like the flies, pilgrims to this holy place are drawn to the dazzling light of enlightenment. The forms are informed by Tibetan sacred dance.
