A three-dimensional musical score of the Indian raga for sunset, this installation was created in collaboration with Carnatic violinist Gautam Tejas Ganeshan, who provides the musical reading of the sculpture that is played during the video. This raga represents the moment between day and night and recalls the transitional stages of life, death and rebirth. The sculpture is spun by hand, creating a calligraphic light painting on a 15’ wall.
